This record entry by Kūzen describes a conversation had between Rennyo and two of his followers, Ganshō of Shōkōji and Matashirō. The essence of the instruction states that belief in the Nenbutsu saves all, no matter what their sin. If they truly believe in the power of Amida, they will be saved. From the beginning of the world, through the circle of reincarnation, those who receive wisdom from Amida shall, for the first time, know that which saves. Rennyo then wrote this down on a hanging scroll, which he gave to Ganshō. This particular conversation appears to have been recorded by Rennyo as well, as a letter written by him exists addressed to Rensei (fourth son of Rennyo) who was being transferred to Yamada Kōkyōji.
